Provides family strenthening services to families and communities to prevent child abuse and neglect in the Puna District including home visiting, information, advocacy, child development issues, etc. Abuse and neglect risk also includes high absenteeism at school, economic hardships putting families at risk for homelessness, poverty to the point where unable to meet family's basic needs. minors under 18 - prevention program

Application process

Families can call Neighborhood Place of Puna directly and request services. Agencies, churches, community groups, schools, etc. can refer families as well. Referrals can be made in person, over the phone, by fax or email.

Fee

All of our services are offered FREE and on a Voluntary basis.

Eligibility

We help families that are struggling and want some help. Must have an underage child, or be pregnant,and live in Puna or South Hilo.
