(PPP) Parent Participation Programs (PPP) meets twice a week at different communities around Oahu. The goal of PPP is to support parents as their child’s first teacher. Hawaiian values such as Aloha (love), Malama (Care), Kuleana (Responsibility) and Laulima (Many Hands) are some of the daily values practiced in class.
Learning centers are set up to support hands-on learning and encourage parent/child interactions. Our hope is keiki will: Develop the skills, knowledge and experiences for life and learning;
Develop a strong sense of self, ‘ohana and where they come from;
Recognize and practice Hawaiian language and culture.
This program helps makua:
Recognize how to become advocates for their keiki;
Engage in safe, healthy practices for keiki well-being;
Recognize and practice Hawaiian language and culture.
