(Pregnancy Problem Center) The Pearson Place Pregnancy Resource Center provides support to women and men faced with difficult pregnancy decisions. Free pregnancy tests, referrals for free ultrasounds, information about pregnancy options, material resources, agency referrals and ongoing practical support provided.
Provides in vitro fertilization for infertile couples. Does not maintain a sperm bank (brings sperm from the mainland as needed for individual patients).
Kokua Kalihi Valley (KKV) is a community organization with the mission for "healing and reconciliation in the Kalihi Valley community". KKV serves residents in Kalihi Valley a Medically Underserved Area and Health Personnel Shortage Area, as designated by the Public Health Service. Services include: dental, medical, family planning, WIC nutrition, behavioral health, elderly services, elderly exercise classes, youth development, case management, transportation, translation, case management and outreach, sewing program and Micronesian women's group.
Community-based Pregnancy Services provides counseling and supportive services to women experiencing a crisis due to an unplanned pregnancy and their families, with special attention to pregnant teens. Service assists clients to explore all their viable options concerning their pregnancy and to make informed decisions and plans for themselves and their child. Pregnancy Services provides community outreach in order to reach the women and teens in need of services, and assists them in accessing services, advocacy, information and other resources to meet their needs (such as WIC, Medicaid, AFDC.) Birth options counseling is provided if requested as well as planning and assistance through the process for the individual, partner and family.
Kalihi-Palama Health Center offers free family planning educational presentations to all ages and settings within the Oahu community upon request. Family Planning presentations cover various topics including: Sexually Transmitted Infections and Birth Control. As part of this program we offer: Free comprehensive family planning education presentations to all ages and groups, schools and other organizations and free STD and teen pregnancy prevention (including abstinence ) presentations.
