Sponsored by the Dave Thomas Foundation, this unique program provides intensive social work services to find the best adoptive home for a child by exploring all facets of the child’s family, school, and friendship circles, as well as recruiting families from the broader community. (AFT) Hawaii International Child's mission is to help orphaned and needy children find loving families, while helping parents adopt children they wish to love and raise. Through education, humanitarian aid, adoption advocacy and service programs, we strive to encourage the bond between children and their forever families.

Operates a private adoption referral service, established to meet the needs of the birthmother who chooses or feels that she cannot parent at this time in her life. During counseling, these women personally select an adoptive family from service files. If needed, offers housing or relocation service. After the adoption, continues to provide counseling throughout the readjustment period.
