Key Programs: Administers the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program to provide vaccinations through community healthcare providers for uninsured and underinsured children 0-18 years of age. Provides education and information to healthcare providers and general public related to vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases. Monitors immunization levels in schools, child care centers, and targeted populations. Oversees enforcement of school immunization and physical examination requirements. Provides Hepatitis B vaccine to newborn infants born at all Hawaii delivery hospitals.
