Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. VASH relies heavily on donations and community support. When needed resources are not readily available, we will make requests and network with other agencies to try and meet needs.

Provides information on bus routes and schedules on the island of Maui. If you have a disability that prevents you from using the regular Maui Bus service, you may be eligible for our ADA paratransit service. (VASH, Travelers Aid of Honolulu) Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) shares Aloha with visitors who have been victims of a crime or other adversities, and provides follow-up assistance and support in an effort to create a positive memory of their stay in our islands. The type of assistance provided varies on a case by case basis. Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii offers assistance and support through information and referrals, emergency ground transportation, and resources for meals and lodging. Assistance is also provided with changes to travel plans and emotional support. We do not pay for airline tickets, hotel stays, medical or dental expenses, and funeral expenses.
